FAQs

Q: Is this the right place for Windsor Hills too?
A: Yes, you’re in the right place. ViewPark.org is for both communities. We chose ViewPark.org for its simplicity (easy to remember) and branding purposes.

Q: Who is funding ViewPark.org?
A: ViewPark.org is solely funded by residents. No “membership” dues. We started with three “angel investors” to launch the site and sponsor summer programming, and thanks to generous donations from residents, we’re gaining momentum. Continued support from residents and sponsoring businesses will fund the movement going forward.

Q: Can block/watch clubs use ViewPark.org?
A: Of course! We will post any Block specific information in a password protected environment accessible from the homepage — unless you want it public. Block/watch clubs can also submit eligible events and activites for inclusion in e-mail blasts.

Q: How do I get in touch with ViewPark.org?
A: Send an e-mail to info@viewpark.org and we’ll respond within 48-72 hours.

Q: I want to become more active in the community, how do I get started?
A: It’s easy. Show up to events and raise your hand to volunteer. There are no shortage of tasks at hand from distributing flyers to planning community gardens to working with County and Law enforcement officials.

Q: Where is my donation going?
A: We thank you for even considering a donation. Donations are used for various expenses including programming in the park (i.e. movie night, jazz concert, upcoming fall events, etc), web hosting, communication tools, promotional activities (flyers, postcards, movie licenses, etc.). As we grow, and serve the community in more diverse ways, your support will be even more important.

Q: I live near Monteith Park and occasionally unwelcome guests come to the park and make noise and smoke out. What can I do?
A: The best thing to do is call the Sheriff’s Department (310.482.6000), and provide a thorough description of the people, the activity, and the vehicle in which they came in (if applicable).
