He has worked several assignments in the LASD, including: Compton Station, Lost Hills Station, Personnel Administration, Community College Bureau, Office of the Undersheriff and Office of the Executive Officer.

Capt. Stephen has spent over 30 years on the Department, has a Bachelors degree from Texas Christian University (TCU), a Masters degree from Long Beach State University, and is a graduate of the Sherman Block Supervisors Leadership Institute.

He resides in the San Fernando Valley with his wife of 21 years Sheila. In his off time he likes traveling, reading, playing basketball and exercising.

In his words….

“Residents just another friendly reminder to lock your doors and windows especially during the day when most of the residents are at work. We had a spike in residential burglaries in May, which seems to have subsided for now, but we must all be more diligent in securing our homes and vehicles. If you need any assistance with personal safety or home security please contact Sergeant Cody Signater or Team Leader Nova Simon at the Ladera Center for assistance (310) 410-7600.” – Capt. Stephen
