Need assitance with a utility bill? Help is available for eligible families.
Community Centers, Inc., in partnership with other agencies, will be hosting a Utility Bill Payment Assistance Program for residents living in many ZIP codes including 90043 and 90008, on Wednesday, August 21, 2013 from 10:00am to 2:00pm at 7518 South Vermont Avenue, Los Angeles, CA 90044 at the corner of Vermont & 76th Street.
This program can provide free assistance on your Gas or Electric Utility Bills. It is designed to help income eligible households offset their heating and cooling costs. Priority is given to the elderly, disabled, and families with young children. You must meet the low income eligibility requirements. This program is funded by the Federal Low Income Home Energy Assistance Program through the State of CA, DCSD. If you qualify, a credit will be posted on your account.
TO ASSIST YOU, PLEASE PROVIDE THE FOLLOWING – YOU MUST HAVE ALL ITEMS BELOW:
- CURRENT ELECTRIC BILL (complete bill, all pages). Must cover at least 22 service days with meter reading.
- CURRENT BLUE GAS BILL (complete bill, all pages). Must cover at least 22 service days with meter reading.
- PROOF OF CURRENT MONTHLY INCOME Income for everyone that receives income in the household. Must cover the last 30 days.
- VALID PICTURE I. D.
- SOCIAL SECURITY CARD
- CURRENT RENT RECEIPT, SEC 8 AGREEMENT, MORTGAGE STATEMENT, OR PROPERT TAX STATEMENT
